Study: 1/2 of college students don’t seek help for anxiety, depression

Depression

I ran across this disturbing article today:

a new survey of 2,785 college students has revealed that more than half of students with significant symptoms of anxiety or depression do not seek help…”This is despite the fact that resources are available at no cost on campus.”

Naturally, my question is why? Here’s part of the answer:

Other factors associated with not seeking treatment included lack of perceived need, being unaware of services or insurance coverage, skepticism about effectiveness

Are you aware of campus mental health resources? Would you use them?
